
Kate Hudson is an outstanding actor, well-known for her role as Penny Lane in the Hollywood film Almost Famous which resulted in her receiving an Academy Award nomination. Her birthplace was a lineage of movie stars and seemed to have a natural flair for fame. Her mother, Goldie Hawn, is a well-known film actor while her father, Bill Hudson, is comedian. From an early age, she loved performing and would grab every opportunity to perform on stage. As a child her parents offered dancing classes, and she took classes at the Santa Monica Playhouse. In 1996, she began acting after she received a role in the TV drama Party of Five. The show was a success and she was admitted to New York University, but Kate Hudson was more interested in seeking a job in show business instead of pursuing the degree. After appearing in a couple of minor films, she landed the role that would prove to be a major breakthrough in her career. She was cast as Penny Lane in the comedy drama film Almost Famous. While the film did not do well at the box office it was well-received by reviewers and it made Kate a star in the American movie industry.
