
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco is an American professional soccer player. She plays as a striker and captains for San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) which is the most prestigious division of women's soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team.She co-captained the United States women's national soccer team with Carli Lloyd and Megan Rapinoe from 2018 to 2020. [8][98][9] Morgan was chosen by the Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. She made her professional debut at the club and was instrumental in helping the team win its league championship. Morgan was only 22 at the time, and was the youngest member of the national team in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team finished second. Morgan scored the game-winning goal in the semi-final match against Canada in the semi-final game at the 2012 London Olympics.
